Testing Zodia’s High-Performance Drivers
I’ve had the opportunity to test both drivers in the past, but rarely do you get the chance to compare them side by side like this. So, I took this unique opportunity to compare the two.

Both drivers feature what could be considered “identical twin” designs. While many models today have distinct differences, such as differing weight placements or part variations, these drivers are nearly identical. You might not be able to tell them apart at a glance, which is something I appreciate for the design consistency.

Both have the same neck length, but the face design is noticeably different.

Looking at the faces, the Z935 has a longer rear section, making it look more directional. If you prefer a more compact design, you may like the Z935 tour, while those looking for a larger face area and more stability might lean towards the Z935.

First Impressions: A Manual vs. Automatic Feel
When addressing the ball, there’s a clear distinction between the two. The Z935 tour feels more manual, while the Z935 is more automatic. The Z935 tour offers a feel that’s easier for golfers who like to focus on control and their shot shape.
The Z935 might be more popular as it fits the trend of automatic drivers that are easy to use and don’t require much adjustment, but I’m happy to see a driver that suits golfers who prefer a more “manual” feel.
Performance Comparison

Feel: Both clubs offer a firm feel with noticeable milling on the face, giving a sense of “bite.”
Sound: The Z935 has a slightly higher pitch sound. This is a minor difference and doesn’t significantly impact performance.
Ball Launch: The Z935 is easier to launch higher, thanks to its loft and shaft differences. However, the Z935 tour should perform similarly with the right shaft and loft.
Stability: The Z935 is more forgiving on mishits, but I found the Z935 tour to be easier to set up and swing, which I preferred.

Distance: While preferences vary, I prefer the Z935 tour. It offers lower spin and a more powerful trajectory.
Control: The Z935 tour is notably more responsive, offering better control for shaping shots, while the Z935 has an easier, more automatic feel that is less responsive but very stable.
Both drivers have their merits, but if you’re looking for straight-line performance and forgiveness, the Z935 is your choice. If you prioritize control and distance, the Z935 tour will likely be more suitable.
